Can I keep my mobile number when I switch to BASE?

You can transfer your number free of charge when you change from your previous (Belgian) provider to BASE. We will also cancel your mobile plan with your previous provider.

What do I need for a number transfer?

To transfer your number to BASE, we need to following info:

  • Your current phone number.
  • Your SIM card number or account number.

You can find this info in your previous provider's customer zone or on your bill, or you can simply request it from your old provider.

How do I request a number transfer?

1. Place your order

  • Order your new SIM card or mobile plan online or in the My BASE app.
  • In the order process, select Transfer a number from another operator.
  • Complete your order.

2. Activate your SIM card

Do you have a physical SIM card? Activate your new SIM card online. Keep also your SIM card number or your account number at hand. After the activation, we will start the transfer.

Do you have an eSIM? Activate your eSIM online. The transfer will start as soon as you enter the verification code.

3. Wait for the confirmation

When the transfer has succeeded, we will confirm by text and the access to your old network ends. Insert your new BASE SIM card in your device and then you're ready to go!

Important: Make sure you are not abroad when the number is transferred, because you must make your first call from Belgium. And if you are abroad? Then you will temporarily have no service, until you return to Belgium.
