Thinking about leaving BASE?

Depending on your situation, there may be a better solution than cancelling your subscription. In many cases, you can switch to a plan that better fits your needs, resolve a technical issue or transfer your products. Below you’ll find the most common situations and what you can do next.

Moving to a new address in Belgium, or moving in with someone who already has internet or TV? In many cases, you can simply transfer your subscription to your new address or adjust your services if needed. You'll find all the info you need in our dedicated page. If you’re moving abroad, it’s worth reviewing your options before cancelling. For example, you may be able to keep your phone number by switching your mobile plan to BASE 0, or transfer your services to someone else. What do you need to keep in mind?

If you have a prepaid card, you can stop topping up at any time. Please note that if the card is not topped up for 12 months, it will be automatically deactivated and any unused credit will be lost.

Are you switching to a different provider with your prepaid card? If so, we can refund your remaining call credit to your bank account within one month after the switch. Ask for a refund.

Did you buy a smartphone at a great price with BASE? Go to My BASE or the My BASE app to check the depreciation table and see if you still have a residual value to pay.

  • After cancellation, you have 30 days to return your BASE modem and/or TV box. 
  • If we don’t receive your hardware, we will charge you the residual value of each device.

Want to transfer a mobile monthly plan or prepaid card to another operator? You don’t need an Easy Switch ID. Simply ask your new operator to transfer your mobile number. As soon as your number is activated with the new operator, your BASE number will be deactivated.

Do you want to change your Internet and/or TV provider? Don't forget to give your new provider your Easy Switch ID. They'll cancel your subscription with BASE, so you don’t have to do anything. You can find your Easy Switch ID in MY BASE.
