How do I install my BASE modem?
You can easily install the BASE modem yourself. If you can't quite manage on your own, watch the installation video below.
You can install your modem in a few steps. Before you start, please check if you have everything you need: your modem, the modem holder, the power cable, and the wrench.
Attach the modem holder to a wall
- First drill two holes in the wall where you want to mount the modem.
- Screw the holder into place.
- Place the modem on the holder and slide it forwards until it clicks into place.
If you don't want to mount the modem on the wall, you can simply connect the cables to the modem straight away.
Connect the cables to your BASE modem
- Connect the coaxial cable to your modem. This cable comes uit of the wall. Use the wrench provided and turn it clockwise to tighten the cable securely.
- Next, connect the network cables. These are the cables that connect your devices, such as computers and televisions, to the modem.
- Plug the power cable into the socket and into the modem.
Complete the installation
- Switch on the modem. It wil now start up automatically.
- It will take up to 15 minutes for the modem to be installed. The modem is installed when the LED light stops flashing and turns white.
Once your modem is installed, your internet connection is fully activated. You can start browsing straight away!
