How to make mobile calls via 4G and Wi-Fi

Thanks to the new technologies, you can make calls via 4G and Wi-Fi. Until recently, you could only do this via the 3G or 2G network. What's more, it costs you nothing extra; your usage is simply deducted from your remaining minutes.

Good to know: are you calling abroad via 4G or Wi-Fi? Don't forget to use the country code, also when you are calling to a local number. Do you for instance call from the Netherlands to a Dutch number via 4G? Make sure to type +31 before the number you're calling.

What do you need?

A suitable handset and the right software

The technologies will be rolled out step by step, starting with the latest devices. If and when 4G or Wi-Fi is activated for your handset, you will receive a text. Check below to see whether you have a compatible handset

If you don't see ‘LUX’, then your phone is unsuitable and, unfortunately, calling via 4G/Wi-Fi is not possible with this phone.
