Fees for unpaid invoice/bill

If we have not received payment five days after the first free reminder, we send further reminders. The associated fees are shown on your invoice/bill under ‘One-time fees’.

If we do not receive your payment, the line will be blocked. To reactivate your BASE services, you must then pay your invoice/bill and a reactivation fee of €10 per line.

The lump-sum compensation, including the statutory interest and reminder fee charged by BASE (maximum €20), is established by the Law of 4 May 2023 (book XIX ‘Consumer Debts’ of the Belgian Economic Code).

  • of €20 if the balance due is less than or equal to €150;
  • of €30 plus 10% of the amount due on the tranche from €150.01 to €500 if the balance due is between €150.01 and €500 inclusive;
  • of €65 plus 5% of the amount due on the tranche above €500.01, with a maximum of €2,000, if the balance due exceeds €500.

  • The fastest way to pay is via the My BASE app, in My BASE or on BASE.be. That way you can be sure we will receive your payment immediately and you avoid a reminder fee.
  • Do you often lose track of the date? Then choose direct debit. Your payment is then made automatically, preventing late payments.
