Blocking TV channels and setting an age limit
As a parent, do you to want to prevent your children from watching certain programmes or entire channels? You can, by blocking channels or setting an age limit.
How to block TV channels?
When you block a channel, it can no longer be watched without a PIN code.
- Press the house on the remote control, and select Settings > Parental controls > Channel lock > Enter your PIN code > Add channels.
- Select the channel(s) you want to block or unblock, and press OK.
- You will see a padlock icon appear next to the blocked channels.
- Press Back to save your changes.
How to set an age limit?
Every programme is assigned an age category. You can choose from various minimum ages.
- Press the house on the remote control, and select Settings > Parental control > Set age lock.
- Enter your PIN code.
- Choose a minimum age (6, 9, 12, 16, 18 or off) and confirm with OK. You can recognize blocked channels or programmes by the padlock icon.
Note: by default, all 18+ programmes are protected with a PIN code. This applies even if you switch off the age lock.
