What costs can I have with BASE?

We like to keep things transparent. Here’s an overview of all possible costs you may encounter with a BASE subscription or service.

What do you pay every month?
You pay the monthly fee for your Mobile, Internet and/or TV subscription. The exact amount depends on the plan you choose. If you change your plan, your next bill may include a pro rata amount.

Do you need to pay activation or installation fees?
Depending on your situation, you might have to pay:

  • Activation fee: €30
  • Comfort installation: €59
  • Cable connection (if not available yet): €50
  • A surcharge may apply if the distance to the network exceeds the standard length.

You always see these costs before confirming your order.

Is a repair free? It depends on who is responsible.

If BASE is responsible, the repair is free.

There could be an extra charge if you choose:

  • Evening appointment: €15
  • Saturday appointment: €5

If BASE is not responsible, you will need to pay:

  • Basic repair fee (including travel + 15 minutes): €85
  • Additional working time (per 30 minutes started): €25
  • Urgent repair (including travel + 15 minutes): €130

Examples where you may pay:

  • The plug is not connected correctly
  • An incorrect cable is used
  • Your own (non-BASE) device is faulty

If the appointment did not take place, we charge €85 if:

  • No adult (18+) is present
  • No one is home
  • The issue was solved before the appointment and you did not inform us

What if you don’t return your equipment? If some equipment is damaged, lost or not returned after cancellation:

  • Modem: €60 (no longer charged after 10 years)
  • TV box less than 1 year old: €249
  • TV box between 1 and 2 years: €150
  • TV box older than 2 years: €50

Optional equipment: you can buy a Wi-Fi booster for €65.

If you don’t pay on time:

  • First reminder: Free
  • Second reminder: €10
  • Final reminder / formal notice: €10
  • Paper formal notice: €10 (consumer) / €15 (professional)
  • Reactivation per service after restriction: €10 (max €30)

In case you buy a smartphone at a discounted price with your subscription: if you cancel early or switch to a lower plan within the agreed period, a residual value may be charged. The exact amount depends on the remaining contract period.

  • SIM replacement: €10
  • Refund of remaining prepaid credit: €5
  • Duplicate bill or invoice: €5
