What is BASE Free Data Day?
Every first day of the month, all customers with a monthly subscription get 24 hours of free data, as of midnight.
What do I have to do to take advantage of the action?
Not a thing! It's all done automatically.
As long as you have a subscription, you surf for 24 hours free in Belgium and the EU zone during Free Data Day, on the first day of every month.
For which subscriptions does the Free Data Day apply?
Free Data Day applies for all BASE customers with a monthly subscription.
Free Data Day does NOT apply for the tariff plans without monthly subscription, such as BASE 0 and BASE zero and the prepaid cards.
How do I know that I enjoy Free Data Day?
A few days in advance we send you, by text message or e-mail, a reminder that the Free Data Day is approaching. You will also find information on the BASE website. Moreover, on the day itself a message appears in the My BASE-app.
How do I see my free data usage on the Free Data Day?
In the MyBASE-app and the Customer Zone under usage details on the date of the Free Data Day you will see that the used data are not charged.
On the BASE invoice your used data, which are not charged on Free Data Day, will appear on the invoice under the heading "Mobile internet in Belgium and the EU zone", right next to "Free data traffic".
I have an Unlimited subscription: can I take advantage of Free Data Day?
Yes, During Free Data Day the data traffic of the Unlimited subscriptions on Free Data Day will not count for the 25 GB for which that you can surf at full speed. If you then go above that, you continue to surf at reduced speed until the next invoice.

Conditions for the Free Data Day
During the first day of each month, the data used in Belgium or in the EU zone are not charged. This offer is only valid for BASE subscriptions (and Unlimited as of August) which pay a fixed amount per month, except for BASE 0 and BASE zero, during the first day of the month and exclusively reserved for a normal personal and private use with mobile phone or smartphone such as defined here. Any other use is prohibited. This normal use allows you a very intensive use. However, Telenet Group NV (BASE) reserves the right to suspend the free delivered service in the period of the offer in case of improper use of the service.
