First a little info...

To top up, you need a prepaid card.

  • If you don't have a prepaid card yet, you can buy one via the website!
  • When you receive a new prepaid card, you need to activate it before you top up. 

Different ways to top up

Did you know that…

…you can top up someone else's number too? You can also top up for your brother, girlfriend, nephew, aunt or gran. Simply enter the telephone number you want to top up. It's that easy!

On the website or the My BASE app

The quickest way to top up is via the website or My BASE app. Quick and easy ... like 1, 2, 3.

  1. Enter the telephone number you want to top up.
  2. Choose the amount you want to add.
  3. Choose a payment method.

In the customer zone

You can also top up in the customer zone. Log in and choose ‘Top up online’. You can top up for yourself or someone else, and you can pay online or use a top-up code. Discover it now!

In a BASE Shop

You can also visit a BASE Shop to top up via our Self Pay Kiosk.

Attention: not all BASE Shops have a Self Pay Kiosk. 

Via KBC Mobile

Now you can also top up via KBC Mobile! You don't have the KBC Mobile app yet? Then make sure you download it!
 

  • Topping up via KBC Mobile

You can find BASE's logo under the category "Telecom & energy" in the KBC Mobile app. If you click on our icon, the app will redirect you to BASE's topping up screens.

 

  • Choosing the amount and mobile number

On BASE's top up screen, you can indicate the amount and the BASE number you want to top up. 
 

  • Pay

Once you have filled in all information to top up, you can check out and pay. For KBC customers, the payment will proceed via KBC Mobile

 

By text message

First, buy a prepaid card from one of our distributors. It can be used to top up via a text message.
 
  • Please send TOPUP [15 digits of your voucher code] to 1914.

Attention! Don't use a hard return between 'TOPUP' and your voucher code, but do use a space.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best way to top up while abroad?

It's just as easy to top up via the website or My BASE app while abroad.

If you bought a prepaid card in Belgium, you can activate it while abroad too. Read the instructions on the card.

What is the maximum amount on a prepaid card?

You can top up unlimitedly until you reach a maximum call credit of €500. You can't add more than €90 at a time. However, you can combine different topping up sessions to reach the desired amount.

Please note: Topping up with a credit card is limited to €150 per day.

How do I pay when I top up online?

Online payment has never been so easy. Once you've chosen the mobile number and amount you want to top up, you are presented with various payment options. Choose how you want to pay, and follow the instructions.

  • Bancontact/MisterCash bank card
    Click the Bancontact logo and follow the instructions.
  • Credit card
  • PC banking (not in the My BASE app)
    As a BNP Paribas Fortis, KBC, Belfius or ING customer, you can simply pay via online banking. Click your bank's logo.

I'm getting an error message

When do you get an error message?

  1. before you selected a payment method? Contact us.
  2. after you selected a payment method? The best thing to do is contact your bank.

I paid, but the call credit is not on my prepaid card

It may take up to one working day before your call credit is updated.

Has your call credit still not been updated one working day after your top up?

  1. Contact us via the customer zone.
  2. Include your proof of payment, mobile number and a brief explanation.
  3. We will ensure that you get your call credit as quickly as possible.
