BASE helps you in these extraordinary times. Because, now more than ever, we want to keep in touch with those closest to us, BASE is increasing the data volume for all its subscribers, at least until 19 April 2020.

More mobile data

From 17 March until at least 19 April 2020 we are giving all BASE subscribers more mobile data. You will only use your data half as fast! This way you surf twice as much for the same price!

BASE Unlimited

For BASE Unlimited monthly plans, there is no limit on data usage, but we apply a fair use policy of 25 GB in Belgium.

In these exceptional times, we double this to 50 GB. The reduced speed only takes effect when consumption exceeds 50 GB. So you surf twice as much without losing speed.

Prepaid

From now until 15 June, when you top up for €20 you get 5 GB extra data in addition to your minutes.

Frequently asked questions

I have a monthly plan. How do I get my extra data?

Until at least 19 April 2020, you pay for just half of your usage within and beyond your bundle. This means you can make twice as much use of mobile internet for the same price! All of this is arranged automatically.

Examples:

-       If you use 100 MB of your mobile data, only 50 MB is deducted from your included usage.

-       Suppose you used 2 GB of your 5 GB before 18 March. In that case, the remaining 3 GB will be counted half as fast. This means you can use another 6 GB of mobile internet before you go beyond your bundle.

-       And if you then continue using data beyond your bundle, the same thing happens: if you use 1 GB, you see just 500 MB in your counter on your bill.

I have a prepaid card. How do I get extra data?

From now until 15 June, when you top up for €20 you get 5 GB free data in addition to your 20 euros worth of minutes.

I have an Unlimited monthly plan. How do I get my extra data?

There is no limit on data usage, but we employ a fair use policy of 25 GB in Belgium. Then your unlimited mobile internet continues at a lower speed (512 kbps). 

In these exceptional times, we double this to 50 GB. The reduced speed only takes effect when consumption exceeds 50 GB. So you surf twice as much without losing speed.

Do I see my free data in the My BASE app or the Customer Zone?

In the My BASE app or Customer Zone you’re not going to see the extra data. We count only half of your data usage, so your counter will only fill at half speed, allowing you to surf double for the same price. 

What if I go out of bundle?

No worries, then you only pay half of your usage as well. You still surf twice as much for the same price.

I bought a smartphone via BASE, but now it's broken. What can I do?

At present, our shops are not open to help you with repairs. Therefore, BASE sought a solution and found one, in collaboration with partner Dynafix and Samsung.

  • You can arrange repair of a Samsung phone via the Samsung website.
  • Dr. Mobile repairs all brands. Keep in mind that with this option the shipping charge will be at least €8.75.
