The digital bill/invoice: how does it work?

From now on, we will send your bills/invoices via email or SMS: we call this the digital bill/invoice. This way you can quickly and easily view and pay them online.

Would you like to switch to the digital bill/invoice? Do it straight away, because it's 100% safe, easy... and green!

A digital bill/invoice offers additional benefits compared to a paper version:

  • your digital bill/invoice comes several days earlier than one sent by post
  • you can view/manage/pay your bills/invoices wherever you are, via the My BASE app
  • you have access to a detailed analysis of your usage (no longer available on paper)
  • your invoices/bills from the last 24 months remain available in the app and on My BASE

How will you be notified?

As soon as a new bill/invoice is available online, we notify you via email and/or SMS (depending on your settings). The notification also includes the amount. That way, you'll never be surprised. 

The email contains the payment information and a personalized link to your bill/invoice.

There are also various handy icons that will take you straight to Doccle or the My BASE app where you can pay your bill/invoice in seconds. Have you activated direct debit? Then the payment happens automatically, and you don't have to worry: your payments always arrive on time! Read more about it

Important: If you pay by direct debit, you will not see a payment button in the My BASE app or on My BASE.

The SMS contains a link to the My BASE app, where you can see the details of your bill/invoice. In the app you will find a button to make the payment.

Electronic, 100% secure!

Safety first! Electronic bills/invoices are 100% secure. If someone enters an incorrect login or password three times in a row, we block access.

Moreover, only the administrator can access all the bills/invoices. Change your administrator preferences via My details – User details on My BASE

Did you know that…

Belgian legislation stipulates that as of 1 January 2013, paper and electronic invoices/bills are treated equally. Your invoicing details can be sent and received both on paper as well as electronically. This principle is stipulated in the European Directive that determines the invoicing rules.
