Attention, because it is important for KPN/BASE to protect their customers from important debts, your request will only be accepted if you have a stable income and you have sufficient revenues to be able to reimburse the purchases made via your BASE MasterCard monthly.
associated costs?
The first year, your BASE MasterCard is free.
And subsequent years? It will remain free if you spend at least € 2.000 (during the 12 months that precede the renewal of your card). If you spend less than € 2.000: your BASE MasterCard will cost you € 15 per year. For a personalised card, you will pay a one-off fee of € 9.75.
how to use
BASE MasterCard, is your BASE credit card. Being the same as the classic MasterCard, it allows you to pay for your purchases in Belgium but also abroad.

activation
You are 18+, you have a minimum income of € 1.150, you have sufficient revenues to be able to reimburse the purchases made via your BASE MasterCard monthly and you have a bank account in Belgium? Go to your nearest BASE-shop to apply for your card. Or surf to www.kpnonline.be, print the form and send it back completed and signed to the address indicated.
Once your request has been accepted by International Card Services, you will receive a letter of confirmation inviting you to choose your BASE MasterCard PIN code, over the phone. A few days later, you will receive your BASE MasterCard in the post.
As soon as you receive your card, phone the number indicated and follow the instructions included in the accompanying letter to unblock the card. That's it! now you can use it.
when travelling
Of course, your BASE MasterCard also works abroad. You can make worry free purchases in every country, in the 23 million shops restaurants, hotels, and travel agents that accept MasterCard.
Your BASE MasterCard also offers you an additional insurance in case of sickness or an accident whilst abroad, as well as an insurance in case of a delayed flight or loss of luggage. Leave without a care in the world!
tips & tricks
Good news: your BASE MasterCard can also be personalised. Choose your photo, order your card online, and voila! In a few days, your personalised card will arrive in the post.
Paying with your BASE MasterCard instead of other cards, grants you free minutes. You just need to associate your BASE mobile phone number (or your partner's, or child's,...) to your BASE MasterCard. For each purchase (not including withdrawals), you will receive free minutes for calling!
